Our Services
The Speech Nest is a small, home-based speech therapy clinic allowing us to prioritise you and your child. We can help with speech and language assessments, parent information and support and evidence based intervention for speech sounds and language development in the preschool to early primary school years.
Speech and Language Assessment
An individual assessment of your child's speech and language skills. The assessment is tailored based on your concerns, your child's age and needs. Assessments used may include standardised assessments, parent/teacher report and informal measures. You will receive a helpful summary report that you can share with others to support your child's development.
Individual Speech Therapy
We offer individual therapy appointments for speech sound development and preschool language. We have over 14 years clinical experience and use evidence based practice, your goals and family needs to tailor the therapy approaches and activities specifically for your child. Speech therapy appointments are available during school terms. We have breaks during school holidays.
Complimentary Feedback Session
After your assessment session, you will be offered a complimentary feedback session to discuss the report. We will discuss the results, your child's strengths and any areas that may be impacting their learning or communication. We can discuss any questions you have, your goals and ways to help your child.

Home Practice
Home Practice is an important part of your child's speech therapy plan. We are here to help with support, advice and resources to guide you in understanding and facilitating your child's speech and language development at home.
Parent Information & Support
We believe parents play a vital role in your child's communication journey. We’re here to support you every step of the way. We can provide practical information, tailored strategies, and ongoing guidance to help you feel confident and informed. Whether you have questions about speech and language development, therapy goals, or how to support your child at home, we're here to help.

Progress Reviews
Regular speech and language reviews are important both for clients working at home and those attending regular speech therapy sessions. Weekly speech therapy clients have a review each term. This is important to check our progress, make any changes to our goals or therapy plan and determine if individual therapy is still needed.

Are we the Right Fit?
The Speech Nest is committed to delivering high quality speech pathology services. As a sole practitioner, I have had to make the decision to focus on specific areas to ensure I have the necessary training, assessments and resources. Therefore, there may be times I am unable to accept a referral or may refer current families to another Speech Pathologist. This may include AAC, voice, dysphagia/feeding/eating, later primary school aged language clients, social skills and later literacy development.

If I am unable to take your call, I may be with a family, please leave a message so I can get back to you.
